Create Blogging Time — It’s Important

What’s the perfect job? What about a job where you are your personal boss, you set your have hours, work right from house, never have to deal with unreasonable deadlines and get to do something you adore doing? Sound good? Well option job description of a tumblr. That, however , is the certainly not the whole story! There are very, very few bloggers who have nothing else to do but work on their blog and even fewer who experience a blog that provides a significant source of income so blogging is, for most, a second or even a third job.

There are two basic types of bloggers, the casual blogger and the serious blogger.

The casual blog owner may have a fundamentally well balanced life and a blog that is primarily a hobby. The casual blogger will begin writing a post, work at it for a while and then quit to get some other things done until he or she feels like writing once again. If a finished post fails to get many comments, could OK; the post expressed just what the casual blog owner wanted to say and is considered out there if anyone is interested.

The serious blogger’s situation is quite different from the casual blogger’s. The serious blogger has a blog that he or she views to be a job — an occupation that may be competing with other essential elements of life such as a most important job, a family, a public life and adequate snooze. The serious blogger is dedicated (almost to the point of the obsession) to maintaining her or his blog and feels costly essential element of daily life. The blogger feels dejected if any post sits for the blog for twenty-four hours or so without generating a comment or if the blog’s hit counter does not register a certain number of visitors every day. That kind of commitment to operating a blog may take a big hunk of time out of the day and can very easily create some serious clashes between blogging and the rest of life — to avoid this, the serious blogger needs to be sorted out and efficient.

Time management for the serious blogger! Anyone who feels the fact that the day is too short should understand and implement the fundamental principle of time management: setting priorities. Some things are obviously more important than other things sometimes important things may be left undone unless you are controlling your routine and not having random situations control you. You need to establish priorities and live simply by them.

Produce a priority list! To begin environment priorities, make a list of everything you have to get done — everything which includes things you’ve committed to carrying out, things you want to do, things you understand you should do and points that you really don’t want to do tend to be on your mind. Be honest and put almost everything on the list — take a few hours or more to put this together if you need that much time, it will be time well spent because you are about to obtain organized.

Significant: You will be using and adjusting this list every day consequently create the list using some program that will allow you to push list items around, put items, remove items and save the list. Categorize! Today carefully consider each item on the list and put each you into one of the following five categories.

Must get it done today

Must get it done soon

Nice for you to do and might be beneficial

Nice to do however, not really necessary

Unnecessary

You now have a decent priority list. Start every day with this list and every time you become aware of a new task put it in a proper destination to the proper category. As the must do items are accomplished and moved off the list, a number of the nice-to-do items may be went up, but only if their priorities can honestly become changed.

Lots of must-do things! If the set of items in the two Must get it done… categories is frustrating, reconsider each item’s importance and re-prioritize if you can, if not select the items that you truly don’t have to do yourself, items like fix-it projects, business phone calls, business letters, parkingspaces.eu editing and proofreading jobs, etc . — some of these things may be able to performed just as well by someone else. Get a friend, family member, co-worker or a freelancer to do it for you.
